I grew up in Colfax, North Dakota, and graduated from Richland #44 before attending NDSCS in Wahpeton and MSUM in Moorhead. My career began at Community First Bank, and I later had the opportunity to work for U.S. Senator Byron Dorgan in Bismarck. After returning home to Colfax, I started several businesses and began farming. In 2020, I sold Aurora Plumbing Heating and Air to my employees, and I continue to operate my land development business and farm. In 2021, I returned to the banking world, and in August 2025, I joined Bank Forward as a Business Development Officer.
I truly enjoy helping people with their banking, insurance, investing, and tax needs—it’s rewarding to be part of their success stories. My wife and I live on our family farm just north of Colfax, where my family first homesteaded in 1874. We have one daughter, Bianca, who keeps us busy with her dance, basketball, and volleyball activities. Outside of work, I enjoy supporting our community and have had the privilege of officiating high school and college basketball for 27 years. I also serve on the Richland County Commission, the Richland #44 School Board, and as President of the North Dakota State School Boards Association.
