Growing up on a medium-sized family farm, I have realized how banking, multi-peril crop insurance, hail insurance, marketing, and hard work all come into play to create a successful operation.
I studied at North Dakota State University, earning my bachelor’s degree in agriculture economics and a master’s degree in agribusiness and applied economics. My studies focused on price risk management and intermarket trading strategies in the soybean industry. From there, I worked in the main tiers in the supply chain from the farm to large agriculture co-ops that process grains.
