I’ve worked as a financial advisor for more than five years, and what I’ve enjoyed most about this career has always been the relationships I’ve built with the people I work with. Financial planning is personal, and I believe good advice starts with understanding what is actually important to someone before talking about investments or strategies. I try to keep financial advice straightforward and practical. There are plenty of complicated products, strategies, and opinions in this industry, but more complexity doesn’t necessarily mean a better solution. My job is to help clients understand their options, make informed decisions, and build a plan that makes sense for their lives.
One of the most rewarding parts of my work is getting to know clients beyond their finances. Over time, many of those relationships become friendships, and meetings often involve just as much catching up and a few laughs as they do talking about markets and money.
My wife and I live in the Detroit Lakes area with our two kids. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, working on projects around our property, and getting out on the lake whenever I can.
If you become my client, you can expect me to be straightforward with you. I’ll tell you what I think, explain why I think it, and be honest when I believe there’s a better way to approach something. All I ask in return is the same.
